Taking an individualised, root-cause approach to health

A Personal Approach To Osteopathy

My work as an osteopath has always been shaped by curiosity, careful listening, and a respect for the individuality of each person I see. Since graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1997, I have been in full-time practice in Nottingham, supporting people of all ages through thoughtful, attentive osteopathic care.
Over the years, my approach has evolved towards a slower and more considered style of treatment — one that values understanding before intervention and aims to create a calm therapeutic space where meaningful change can take place.

Experience & Clinical Background

Alongside clinical practice, I teach post-graduate cranial osteopathy at both the Vienna School of Osteopathy and with the Rollin E. Becker Institute, a UK-wide post-graduate training organisation. Teaching has become an important part of my professional life, allowing me to share and develop gentler osteopathic approaches with other practitioners.

I have a particular clinical interest in conditions involving the ear, nose and throat, such as helping patients manage chronic eustachian dysfunction and tinnitus, sinus conditions, and recurrent ear problems such as otitis media in childhood. I also often see challenging chronic conditions such as headaches, migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, TMJ disorders and atypical facial pain. At the same time, my work remains grounded in nearly three decades of general osteopathic practice, supporting adults, babies, children, and people with active lifestyles.

Working With Babies, Children & Families

For nearly thirty years I have worked with musculoskeletal concerns affecting babies and young children. Treatment is always adapted to the individual, using gentle techniques that respect the developing body and the wider context of family life. Babies aren’t just ‘little grown-ups’ – they have different anatomy, physiology and clinical presentations and needs.

This experience has shaped a style of practice that emphasises sensitivity, communication, and collaboration — qualities that extend to every patient, regardless of age or reason for attending.

General Osteopathic Care

Alongside areas of special interest, I provide the full range of general osteopathic care, supporting people with spinal and joint discomfort, postural strain, and sports-related injuries.

Treatment is always guided by safe, effective osteopathic principles, combining clinical reasoning with an emphasis on understanding how the body functions as a whole.

Benefits of Osteopathic Care for Children

Osteopathic care for children is gentle, individualised, and adapted to each stage of growth and development. By using subtle hands-on techniques, treatment aims to support comfort, ease physical tension, and encourage natural movement and balance within the body.
Many families choose osteopathy to help their children feel more settled, comfortable, and resilient as they grow, whether in response to everyday strains, developmental changes, or specific concerns. The focus is always on working with the child as a whole — supporting overall wellbeing rather than simply addressing isolated symptoms.
